Band Description

4 piece metal band from Houston, TX



Sardis Timeline:
2001 - Band was originally called "Sakryfice" with frontman Zac Cahill.
2002 - Bennett met Jennifer while she was working on the guitar floor at Guitar Center.
2003 - Due to incompatible personalities, Zac was fired from the band.
- Bennett, Brian and Jason renamed themselves "Sardis" and began playing whenever and wherever they could and asked Jennifer to act as their business manager.
- Bennett and Jennifer get married.
- Jason's Army Reserve squad was activated 2 weeks before his time was officially up...he served 18 months in Iraq.
2005 - Jason returns from Iraq
2007 - Bennett and Jennifer move to Iowa - Sardis takes a hiatus
2009 - Bennett and Jennifer move back to Houston - Sardis is back on
2009 - 2012 - Life happens and Bennett, Brian and Jason jam when they can, but it's not like the old days.
2012 - The guys miss the old days and build a rehearsal space at Jason's house...they start practicing again like the old days.
- Brian wants to play rhythm, they ask Jennifer to play bass
- Brian misses bass, so Jennifer takes over on rhythm
2013 and beyond - remains to be seen

Fun facts about Sardis -
- Bennett an Brian are related by marriage through Jennifer
- Bennett and Jennifer have 4 kids and Jason has 1
- Bennett was once told by a recording engineer that "...[he'd] give his left nut to riff like [Bennett]..."
- Vocals for "Axe To Your Forehead" was recorded in the bathroom
- Drum tracks for "The Band is Banned" (all 20 songs) were recorded in the two days before Jason shipped out for Iraq
