Booking FAQ

BOOKING FAQ

How much will it cost me to have 22FIVE come and play?
Email us at booking@22five.com and give us the details of what you\'re looking for and we\'ll let you know. We don\'t advertise flat rates because all churches have different budgets and we don\'t want to discourage smaller churches from asking for a concert event.

What do I get when I book 22FIVE for a gig?
You get whatever it is you need (within reason). We\'re flexible and can play for lots of events, including full-on concerts with multimedia and video elements (like those concerts you might see at big venues) to more relaxed concerts without \"the works.\" We can work with your existing equipment in church as needs permit or provide our own PA system.

I don\'t want a concert, but really need a band for a praise and worship event. Can you do that too?
Absolutely. We\'d love to. Worship is one of the driving forces behind the band. We actually have a variey of set lists we can work from in order to either do concerts, lead praise and worship services or even work praise and worship segments into a concert.

I don\'t have much of a budget to work with. Can I still book 22FIVE to do an event with my church?
You\'d be surprised how willing we are to work with churches that have low financial means in this day and age. The local church is the backbone of true Church, and we don\'t think any house of God should be unable to provide spiritual growth and outreach through a concert event because of its size or budget.

I read that you also do a few cover songs? How do you choose those songs and why play them?
We believe in a God who is bigger than just our Christian subculture, and we believe he delights himself in sprinkling nuggets of his truth all over the world, even (perhaps especially, being a creator Himself) in movies, music and art. As such, we look for songs that mean something to us as believers when we choose a cover song. Those songs may come from groups marketed as Christian Rock or from groups not marketed as such. Regardless, the songs themselves reflect the values of a Christ-focused life and we perform them in an effort to point the listener to the God who is responsible for sprinkling the truth in the song.

What denomination are you?
At times in our lives, the members of 22FIVE have attended churches that are Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Non-Denominational, etc., but we do not accept or refuse concerts based on the denomination of the church requesting the event. The band itself, since it is not a church nor seeks to be so (in all that entails spiritually), has no denomination. Instead, we seek to honor, affirm and assist churches by presenting Christ-focused music and helping listeners worship and meet God.
Band Bio
22FIVE is a Christian modern rock and roll band based in Atlanta, GA.

Between 1988 and 1992 Brett, Steve and Sean toured the Southeast United States in the Christian rock band, REIGN (along with keyboardist Matthew Carter and later guitarist Rob Carter). The band played for churches at camps, youth events, community events, and at festivals, including AgapeFest, Inner Seeds Fest (IS Fest) and Atlanta Fest, the Southeast\'s biggest Christian music festival. During that time we shared the stage with artists such as The Newsboys, Jacob\'s Trouble, The Waiting, The Choir, Adam Again, The Throes, Violet Burning, Guardian, Freedom of Soul, Dig Hay Zoose, Mad at the World, Cindy Morgan and others.

REIGN released one project called i of the storm and began work on a second release, tentatively titled Even in the Dry Season, but the band broke up in 1992 and the guys thought the days of making music together were over and gone.

But thanks to the beauty of providence, in early 2009, the Brett, Stephen and Sean happened to hook up with each other again through the power of the Internet, and 22FIVE was born. The group is currently scheduling new concert dates and recording a new riff-driven modern rock project, tentatively called Taller Than Trees.

So the story begins anew, remaining to be told.
